Berthel Fisher & Company is a premier midwestern Broker Dealer with a national footprint of hundreds of registered agents and offices across the country. After a two-year exploration of options for consolidating their operations onto a single web-based work portal, they chose MyOffice™ and iPrism Global to make it happen.
The Berthel ONE portal brings all Berthel employees and reps through a Single Sign-On (SSO) gateway that leads to each person’s own work space. On that customizable page, all necessary work tools and third-party work applications are button-clicks away, with no additional sign-ons or passwords required for their use. Each user has access to both a private and shared CRM database that is integrated into a powerful forms wizard that makes opening an account or initiating a transaction both quick and easy. The wizard identifies and creates the correct form for the type of account being created, and requires that all account-required information be inserted prior to submittal.
Once an account form has been submitted, it is digitally whisked through the proper approval and processing channels – through compliance review, and through operations processes – where issues are immediately flagged and returned for action. Through these paperless processes, actions are completed in minutes or hours as opposed to the days often required for paper transactions. After processing is complete and documented, the documents are automatically routed to final clearing or investment destinations, with digital copies automatically stored in secure, FINRA-compliant data servers that facilitate immediate access and retrieval as required.
Throughout the process, all activities are totally transparent, with logs maintained of all persons who have touched the data or documents along the way. Work groups and discussion forums can be formed to address shared projects and issues. Users have access to individual or group workrooms where data and documents are stored in indexed digital binders for quick and easy retrieval, use or updating as required.
